Citizens' initiative Pro Thayatal

Roland Neuwirth, founder of the band “Extremschrammeln” (revival of popular music, typical in the forest region north-west of Vienna), has long been living in the town of Raabs. With the citizens' initiative “Bürgerinitiative Pro Thayatal”, he got involved in a fight against wind projects. Through the song “Gegenwind-Rap” (rap against windfarms), he wants to give a strong signal against the destruction which threatens the landscapes of the region “Waldviertel”.

The song was composed by Roland Neuwirth and rap musician Freezy Trap. Roland Neuwirth wrote the lyrics, recorded the rap song in a studio and shot the video, along with the windfarm opponents of “Waldviertel”.
