Fédération Environnement Durable (FED) , supported by:
organises an international protest march on September 26, 2009, to save Mont-Saint-Michel and to denounce the massacre of our natural and cultural heritage by the wind farm scourge.

no less than 9 wind projects are being planned!
It has been part of UNESCO's World Heritage for 30 years.
The wind turbines, 100-metre high, implanted on hills 125-metre high, will reach 225 metres above sea level.
They will be higher than the highest point of the Mont-Saint-Michel (the spire of the steeple - 170 metres), dwarfing it as people approach the world-famous landmark from land or sea. And, of course, they will be clearly visible from the Mont-Saint-Michel.

A new website was just created - sos-montsaintmichel.info - to inform about the great international protest march to be held September 26th, 2009, to save Mont-Saint-Michel and to denounce the massacre of our natural and cultural heritage by the windfarm scourge.
